    Hello RideSearch member,

What a month it has been for us! We have experienced rapid growth since we have corresponded with you last - and we sincerely thank you for your support. The excitement here is building because you have spread the word and helped us to build a larger network of carpoolers to select from. We are over 5,000 members strong and we keep getting better. Look for RideSearch to soon become optimized! Mark you calendars because RideSearch 2.0 is gearing up for a release date ribbon cutting ceremony on June 26th. This will include an easier registration, an improved message center and some new bells and whistles to make the site more streamlined for you. We are committed to making this the best carpooling site on the net and we want your feedback on June 26th to literally 'drive' our success.

We are holding our second "Tell Us Your Carpool Story" contest starting today! We will award a $50 gas card to the first carpoolers who share their RideSearch carpooling story with us. Be one of the first RideSearch users to send in your story about how you and and another RideSearch user are actively carpooling with RideSearch and we will give a $50 gas card to both users. Both users should send the following information via email(brian@ridesearch.com)

    Your username and real name
The other person's username and real name,
    Your story of:
    a. Why you wanted to carpool.
    b. How you met each other at RideSearch.com.
    c. How much money you saved by carpooling.
    d. How long (time and distance) both of your commutes are.
    e. Did you use intersections, parking lots, or addresses to meet?
    f. Did you meet in a public place first?
    g. Would your recommend RideSearch to a friend?
    h. And any other details about what it is like to carpool.
Note: As a result of this action you recognize that your testimonial may be used on the website, newsletter and in other public relations activities like newspapers, radio, and TV.

Congratulations to our previous winners, Carol Dungan and Taylor Brown of Seattle, WA for winning our previous "Tell Us Your Carpool Story" contest. They both received $50 gas cards for their stories.

RideSearch for corporations is one of the ways RideSearch is expanding to meet demand, and so we will provide corporate business, advertising and benefits packages soon. We thank Southwest Airlines for making us their link in site for their employees' carpooling needs. Thank you Southwest employees - we are honored to have you aboard! RideSearch also has a linked site RideShare.tv so that you may view our complete media package.

Thank you again for signing up with RideSearch.com, the free, nationwide premier carpooling website. You are helping us make a world of difference!

  • June 26, 2008 - The Release of RideSearch 2.0

RideSearch.com today announced the launch of a new version of their free nationwide carpool matching website, RideSearch 2.0, and the launch of RideSearch for Businesses (ridesearch.biz). The services promise to increase communication among all commuters and employers, helping carpoolers save money on gasoline and helping them stop global warming by reducing carbon dioxide emissions from daily commuting.

"The new version of RideSearch promises to revolutionize the way Americans think about carpooling. Our customized forums allow commuters to meet up to go to the airport, school, vacations, concerts, football games, church, and movies and work," says Brian Bass, CEO of RideSearch.com. "I am excited about this site. I believe it will change the way we all think about carpooling and ridesharing. With gas prices at an all time high and the green movement in full swing the time is now for our social networks to start making a difference in the real world. "

Our companion site, RideSearch.biz, offers advertising opportunities on RideSearch.com. From local ads on a per city basis to nationwide tower ads there is an advertisement for any sized company. RideSearch thanks Southwest Airlines and Blockbuster for bringing awareness to their employees about RideSearch.com.

“I think we, as a nation, have reached a point where alternatives to driving are a necessity. As families get squeezed by higher inflation the need to offset this with conservation is now evident. The best way to conserve gas is to share the price with someone else. People are now deciding to get past their prior reservations about carpooling and RideSearch.com 2.0 will help them find someone they can ride with anywhere and anytime to any event imaginable.”

I hope you enjoy the new and improved RideSearch.com, and keep carpooling for a better tomorrow!

    Sincerely,
    Brian Bass
